I know it’s not even Christmas yet, but with baby E turning one in a month, I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic. I’ve started looking back at the blog and remembering my favorite moments of the past year.
Most of those moments have to do with my parenting adventures, and they are by far my favorite posts from the year.
Yelling and Asking for Permission: I wrote this post after one of my least proud parenting moments ever. I learned a lot that day about myself and my child.
The 80/20 Rule of Parenting:  This is a rule that I have lived by for years. I explained it to my best friend she said that I had to write a post, because it was just so great. I hadn’t really thought to post about it before, but I’m glad I did. I received some great responses because of it.
Helping My Child After the Birth of a New Baby: My then two year old really struggled after the birth of his brother, but not in the way I expected. This post was hard to write, and very eye opening. I hope that this post brings help to other parents who’s children struggled like mine did.
When Mom and Dad have Different Parenting Styles: I prepared for years to write this post. My husband and I have had some big learning lessons in our parenting journey. This post discusses my feelings about them and how I handled our differences in opinions.
Parenting Mantras: “Just Wait”: I like this post a lot. Â I wrote it to be a piece of advice, but mainly I wrote it because I needed the reminder. Â It recieved some great feedback from readers and even though I only wrote it a few weeks ago, it’s becoming one of my absolute favorite posts.
It’s amazing how quickly a year goes by. It’s been a year of lots of firsts and many lessons were learned along the way.
Heading back to check out the yelling and asking for permission post —
Thank you so much for featuring me. How can I grab a button to my page?
Hey Dayna, My code for the grab button broke when I moved the blog and haven’t fixed it yet. I’ll work on it right now and let you know when it’s fixed so you can grab the code. Sorry.
Great post, BTW!
Ok, Dayna….All fixed!
