One of the simplest activities I do with my kids is water play. We play in water at least once a week because of how simple it is and it’s always a hit.
One day last week, I sat out a box of water for Baby E while his older brother, J, played with play dough at the table.
Baby E absolutely loved this invitation to play. All I did was take a plastic storage box and put a few inches of warm water inside. I added a few bowls, balls, bathtub toys, and a plastic spoon.
I placed it on a few towels and let him play.
And, play he did.
It’s never enough, for either on of my boys, to just play next to the water, they must get all the way inside to get the full experience.
Soon, the lure of water play was enough to pull older brother away from his play dough, and he joined in too.
Baby E didn’t seem to mind sharing and actually enjoyed playing with his brother.
It’s nice to find activities like this, were both boys get to experience it and play together.
If you’re looking for some serious fun to do with siblings, I highly suggest water play.
We don’t have a water table, yet, but I’ve found that a box on the floor works so much better because it can become a full body experience!

Oh my gosh look at that picture of E laughing at J. Priceless! Water play is a huge hit at our house too! It’s my go to activity when I can’t think of anything else 😉
I love the picture of the boys laughing together! How fun! This is such a great post!
Love it! You can tell they were really enjoying playing. Water play is one of the things my boys will play the longest with!
Water play is always a hit here, too! Love how your little one really got into it!
