Sensory Tray: Cornmeal

Wow!  We had a heck of a messy time today!  I probably would have stripped him down if I had known it was going to get this messy.  But man, did he have a great time!

The tray was just filled with cornmeal and I added a wooden truck and a left over pumpkin container from Halloween.

He spent most of the time filling up the pumpkin.  It was a bit difficult for him, but he kept on trying and was able to get a pretty good amount of cornmeal inside.

You know it was a good time when your house and kid end up looking like this!

Sensory trays are always a bit hit around here, and this one did not disappoint!

That’s a great idea for a sensory bin- I’m always looking for sand alternatives. Hmmm, now I just need to figure out where I can get some inexpensive cornmeal.

We use cornmeal for tactile tray for letter writing and my four year old adores it.
