Picks, Jewels, and Play Dough

One of the best things about homemade play dough is that it lasts forever!  I recently brought out my blue glitter play dough that I used a few weeks ago.  I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it, so I just grabbed a few fun things for J to stick into the dough.  I wanted to use bendy straws, but I somehow misplaced them.  While digging through my cabinets I found toothpicks and I thought they would be a good substitute.
So, I laid out the dough, toothpicks, jewels (that we use for almost everything), neon cups, and a spoon.  I put it all on a cookie sheet to contain everything.

The toothpicks went in first, followed by the jewels.  Talk about working on fine motor skills!

I wasn’t really sure what he was going to do with the cups, if anything.  I thought he might put pieces of play dough in them, but he did this instead.

I’d say he had a great time with it!
