Every day, usually when I’m cleaning, I think about how much I love certain products and how I couldn’t imagine life without them…I know you do to! There are just so many really cool things out there that can make life so much easier. We all have our favorites, and if you’re anything like me, you’re always looking out for new things to love. That’s why I’m going to show you my faves, so hopefully you can love them too!
Some things on the list are really cheap, and others are pretty pricey, but I don’t want to live without any of them! I also bet that you’ve seen many of these around because a lot of them are so awesome that lots of moms use them.
On the go: I don’t babywear at home, but I certainly do when out and about. When my babies were very young, I’d wrap them up in the Moby Wrap when shopping or on day trips. Both of them loved being close and would often have a great nap while I got some “hands free” stuff done.
Ok, so I admit that I don’t actually own this product, but my good friend does. I used it several times when watching her kiddos and I LOVE it! The Skip Hop Pronto Changer Diaper Bag holds everything you need for a diaper change and is super convenient to just throw in your bag and go. I need to get one…pronto!
I am horrible at drinking enough water throughout the day, but I’m trying to do better because it’s super important! My Camelbak Eddy Bottle helps me always have water around so hopefully I’ll drink more. It doesn’t leak, so I can throw it in my bag, and it fits in the cup holders in my car and stroller. I have a stainless one and I bought a cover for it, to keep my water cold. I take it with me anywhere, and it helps keeps me hydrated on my busy days.
My Samsung Galaxy Tab is something that I use every single day. It’s where I keep my to do lists, read my books, stay connected on facebook, pinterest, and instagram, shop, and play games. It does so much and I can do it all on the go or at home. I’ve even been known to hand it to my 3 year old from time to time to play his games. Whether your an Android gal, like me, or prefer the Apple products, a tablet can make life so much easier!
Mommy Style
I have to admit that I don’t always get to wash my hair everyday or get it cut on a regular basis. The pre-mom me would be appalled, but hey it is what it is. On those days when my hair is out of control, I cover it with my favorite hat, from one of my favorite companies, Boymom. It’s a great quality hat that looks great and goes with everything. Whether you get this hat or another type, every Mom needs a good baseball hat to run around in! Don’t worry, they have Girlmom stuff too!
I’m currently breastfeeding my second babe and finding clothing with easy access can be difficult sometimes. I solve this by having a pile of these nursing tanks from Target. I layer my regular shirts on top of the tank and my torso stays covered while I nurse. They are so comfy I sleep in them every night too! I seriously, could not live without them!
With a baby who’s doing Baby Led Weaning, I had to get bibs that actually caught the food he drops. The Tommee Tippee Explora Easi-roll Bibs do exactly that. I used these with my older son, and still love them today. The pouch stays open and it’s super easy to wipe clean. I can also throw them in the dishwasher without any problems. I love that they roll up so that they don’t get your bag all icky after eating out. I only own two bibs and they are all I need. I threw away every other bib I owned!
Our babies sleep in their cribs and I love the fact that I can check on them using my Summer Infant Secure Sight Handheld Color Video Monitor, without sneaking into their rooms. It eases my mind and helps me sleep better. And man, do I love watching them sleep 🙂
Around the house:
When it comes to cooking the OXO Good Grips Silicone Steamer is a must have. I always used one of those old-school, regular, metal steamers. The problem is that I have non-stick pots that were getting scratched and ruined by my steamer. When I found this silicone one, I was instantly in love. It even has handles! I use this pretty much every day for making food for E and for steaming our veggies for dinner.
A few months ago, I bit the bullet and bought a KitchenAid Mixer . I thought I’d use it, but wasn’t so sure. It was a lot of money and I was nervous about it. But let me tell you, I have used this thing at least once a week since it ended up in the kitchen. It allowed me to finally start making bread and made it easy to keep my pantry stocked with homemade muffins. It’s cut my baking time in half…except that I’m baking way more than before! It is by far, my most favorite thing in my kitchen. It was worth every penny!
Oxiclean
has saved so many articles of clothing around here. Now that Baby E is eating real food, he makes a huge mess 3 times a day. Plus, having a three year old around can be pretty dirty too. I use oxiclean to presoak laundry, as a laundry boost, spot cleaner for my carpet, and multiple other stains around my house. It works great for almost everything!
My dear sweet husband bought me a vacuum cleaner for our anniversary a couple years ago. Don’t worry, I asked for it and was thrilled. You see, it’s a Dyson Hand-held Vacuum and I use it every day! I’m amazed at how many crumbs and bits of food end up on my kitchen floor, and this little guy picks them up without any problems. I also clean the cat hair off my couches and vacuum the stairs with it. It’s super easy to operate and clean out. I love everything about this vac!
We bought our iRobot Roomba 4 years ago and still use this bad boy every day. There is nothing better than having your floors vacuumed every night while you sleep. With all the crumbs and cat hair around here, this robot keeps my floors squeaky clean. It does need to be emptied every day, but it’s fast and easy to do. It’s another big purchase, but it’s one we feel like we have gotten our money out of.
OMG, Amanda, we’re SO alike! I had the same high chair for the SAME reason. I have the same Roomba (it also doubles as entertainment for the boys). I have a full-size Dyson and I can’t say enough about it.
As far as the tote bags: I recently retired my diaper bag (I splurged a few years ago and bought a totally stylin’ diaper bag/tote). My kids are finally out of diapers, so I thought I deserved a “real” handbag. I HATE IT! I MISS MY DIAPER BAG! I’m gonna check out some thirty one bags.
Great List! We also have many of the same items in our house! I have been toying with the idea of getting a few thirty-one items but haven’t yet. Always great to have more recommendations for a product/brand!
