I Wrote Mama's Best Self Because I Was There Too.

Hi there, I'm Amanda.

I'm a Mom of two boys and I understand the stress of motherhood. 

A few years ago, I was in a Mom Funk. I was unhappy, frustrated, and angry. I was a bear to be around. 

Then everything changed in one terrrible winter morning. 

All it took was my three year old accidently spilling my cup of coffee, and I blew up into a Hulk Mom. I ranted, I raved, I threw verbal bullets at my preschooler.

Seeing his tears and look of fear on his face, I knew it was time for me to make a change. I had to get my emotions in check.

I needed to start living a happier life, not only for me but for my kids.

Kids grow so fast, and I didn't want to miss out of this time in my life because of stress, anger, and overwhelm.

I wanted to be the happy Mom my kids deserved.

Being a Mental Health Therapist, I knew that I had to heal from the inside first.

So I went back to the tools I learned and taught as a Therapist and worked hard to pull myself out of the funk.

Since then, I'm able to handle all the ups and downs that life brings with less anger. Plus, my life is so much more joyful and happy then it was back in my Mom Funk days.

To begin, we jump straight in and focus on how easy it is to get stuck in a negative Mom Funk. Here, I give you proven techniques to kick all that negativity to the curb so you can start feeling happier right away. 

Unit Two: Put On Your Oxygen Mask 

As a Mom, you work hard to take care of your family, but who takes care of you? You're told to "fill your cup", get "me-time", and to "put on your oxygen mask first", but no one tells you how. In this unit, you'll learn how to build a self-care plan that works for YOU. 

Unit Three: Overcome Overwhelm 

You are juggling so much and you're constantly searching for a good balance in your life. In this unit, you'll learn why balance is bunk and how to get the tools you need to manage your life so you're not just suriviving, you're thriving!

Q. Do I have to participate in the group? 

Nope! The group is there for you to use if you wish. It's a great way to get more out of the lessons and to meet other mothers who "get it". But, it's not mandatory to join.
