Fall Bucket List: Painting Pumpkins

We’ve had a crazy September and October so far so we unfortunately haven’t checked off many things off our Fall Bucket List.  I have plans to fix this soon though.

We did get the opportunity to do one thing on our list…painting pumpkins!  We haven’t made it to a pumpkin patch yet, but I found these cute little pumpkins at the grocery store for J to paint.  We did this last year too, but we did it a little bit differently this year.

Fall Bucket List: Painting Pumkins

We started off by talking about the pumpkin itself.  He told me what color it was, if it was light or heavy, and that it felt bumpy.  I then let J pick out what colors he wanted to use.

I then stood back and let him create and paint his pumpkin how he wanted to.

I loved how focused he was on his painting.  He wasn’t just slinging the paint on, he took his time and placed the paint where he wanted it.

We added some glitter to sparkle it up a bit, and now we have a fun colored pumpkin to decorate the house for fall with.

What fun things have you done so far this Fall?
