Cooking at 20 Months

Here’s a little something about me….I have a HUGE sweet tooth and often get major cravings for sugar.

The other night I had a hankering for some cookies.  So, I pulled J up to the table and asked him to join me in baking.

I have basically just let him stir and pour when we’ve cooked together before, but this time he wanted to help a bit more.

He helped me scoop and fill the measuring cups, and he even got a full teaspoon of baking soda all by himself!

He still did a lot of pouring  and mixing…

The best part was when he helped me scoop out the dough and put it on the baking sheet!

Of course, we had to take a taste!

Cooking is a wonderful activity to do with children of all ages!  Toddlers can be a bit messy, but they learn a ton!

Now my problem is what to do with all the cookies?!  My waistline can’t afford them all!
