There has been a lot of talk in the blogging world about copyrights and worries about bloggers sharing too much of someone else’s ideas on their blog. Which I completely understand.
You see…I’m still a pretty new blogger and am learning new things about blogging rules and etiquette every day. My intentions were good and I thought I was helping other bloggers, but now I see that I might be overstepping things a bit with my Getting Organized Monday series. So, I’ve decided to take a break, step back, and re-assess.
I plan on this series coming back soon and totally re-vamped! So, stay tuned for some great new ways of staying organized!
Oh, what a shame…i love your posts on this subject!(a little too dear to my heart this organisation thing!)
I get what you mean though, it is a bit of a minefield at the moment isn’t it? Hope you can continue soon in a way you are comfortable with xx
Thanks Jode! I love this series too. I want to be as respectful as possible to other bloggers, but still share their ideas. It is a bit of a minefield, especially since Pinterest took off. I need a little bit to decide how to do this series, but it will be back…just in a different format.
Most people are happy to share their ideas if you give them credit. It’s a big issue in blogging that’s getting a lot of press. Most people want their ideas published, especially if they are marketing themselves, but it’s like plagerizing if you don’t credit the ORIGINAL post. That’s sometimes hard to do. I don’t believe that most organizational ideas are really original anyway, and intellectual property doesn’t cover ideas that are widely used. In other words…for the most part…you’re safe if you give credit.
I will be looking forward to it’s return!
