With the move coming up, I’ve been cleaning out a lot. While cleaning out our art and crafts supplies the other day, I thought that it would be so much fun to just throw a bunch of art supplies in a box and let J create. So…that’s exactly what I did!
- colored paper
- paper plates
- crayons
- dot painters
- finger paint
- regular paint
- paint brushes
- foam stickers
- masking tape
- pom poms
- pipe cleaners
- sidewalk chalk
- glue
- markers
- a few strips of yarn
I put it all in a cardboard box and took it outside. I also made sure that everything was washable before I let him loose!
He had a great time coloring and painting all over the box.
His favorite part was with finger paint, and he made quite the mess with it!
He pretty much just painted the whole time, but hey, the kid loves to paint!
This is something that I will continue to do with J as he grows. As he gets older, I know that he will become more and more creative with his artwork. This is truly a great activity for any age!
We love this activity too! I often set out a bunch of supplies, and just wait to see what Rosie creates (she usually just paints too lol). Such a simple, yet wonderful activity!
I love that he decorated the box. I didn’t see it coming!
That’s one of the reasons why I did it in a cardboard box…plus, it was easy to toss when he was done!
He looked like he was seriously concentrating…tongue out and everything! 🙂 Too cute and so much fun!
How resourceful. Great way of getting one last use out of things. I feel for you. Moving is the pits. I’ve moved 6 times in the last 5 years. It’s the pits. At least you have a good attitude. I can’t say I have. It’s a pain. Good Luck!
Just love that tongue action! Isn’t funny what they come up with when you leave them to it. Sometimes what you think they’ll love using, they wont touch!
What a great idea!
