Hi there…I’m Amanda!
Way back when before I was a Mrs. or a Mom, I was in school to learn anything and everything about children. My life revolved around kids and it has ever since. I achieved my Bachelors in Child Development and worked in a preschool to earn money throughout college. After I got my diploma I went right back to school to get my Masters in Counseling. I wanted to help kids, and I wanted to do it in the most lovingly, natural way possible. So, I went to school to become a children’s mental health therapist…more specifically…a Play Therapist. I’ve basically spent the past 10 years playing with children in one capacity or another.
In 2005, I moved from Texas to the East Coast to marry a military man. We have dealt with the normal things military life brings…being far from family, moving, and deployments. But hey…that’s just normal married life to me!
In May 2010 I had my little man…J. We made the decision for me to stay at home with him. At first I was worried about this huge change in my life. But, I have absolutely loved staying at home since day one and couldn’t imagine my life any other way.
We welcomed Baby E in January 2013! He has completed our family and made me a true “Boy Mom”. My days are now busier than ever, and time is going by so fast. I’m loving the ride, but sometimes I need a glass of wine and a bowl of ice cream to recuperate from the long days.
Overall, I’m a pretty simple girl who loves chocolate, popcorn (usually together), knitting, being organized, baking, getting crafty, and doing anything outside.
