I’m off on a baby break taking care of my new little man. In my absence I have some amazing guest bloggers to introduce you to. Today I bring you one of my favorite Aussie bloggers, Kylie, from Octavia and Vicky. I found her early on through The Sunday Parenting Party and have been a loyal reader since. She not only has some amazing parenting posts, but great play activities and some amazing recipes. I love her honesty and wit! Make sure you head on over to her blog and explore a bit.
One of our favourite activities to together at home is cooking. Here are five of our favourite recipes to make with children – simple, delicious and easy for little ones to join in with.
1. Rainbow Cupcakes

Kylie is a technology loving mother and junior primary school teacher. She is currently enjoying maternity leave while caring for her two year old daughter and awaiting the arrival of her second baby in March 2013. Kylie loves to play, craft and cook with her little girl, using as many geek-tech tools along the way as she can. Kylie lives with her husband and young family in the Adelaide hills, South Australia, where they enjoy regular visits from possums, koalas and even have the odd kangaroo in the backyard. Kylie’s blog, Octavia and Vicky, is named after a story she wrote when she was five years old by the same name. It is about a little girl named Vicky and her spider friend, Octavia.
